Apple Blossom - Important

After careful consideration, the decision has been made that Doherty Band will NOT be participating in the Apple Blossom Parade this year. Some factors that affected this decision were:

- SAT that day
- Prom is that evening
- Comments from students and parents
- Rumors that some students were going to come up with excuses why they couldn't attend, just so they didn't have to go

The general consensus was that the students, parents, and staff would rather spend the time and energy on an event that was more meaningful and in the better interest of the band program.
