Doherty Band Concession Stand Fun Facts

Doherty Band Concession Stand Fun Facts:

Did you know that each shift worked by a student or adult equals $20.00 credit to the student’s band account and the funds in the student’s band account can be used for any band related fees such as marching fees, RMPA fees, Winter Guard fees, solo and ensemble, band banquet tickets, and trip costs?

Did you know that funds earned toward the student account carry over from year to year if they are not used in the year they are earned?

Did you know that a student account can be transferred to a younger sibling in the program if your student graduates before using all funds credited to his/her account?

Did you know that there are approximately 70 games per year available to work. Each game has 4 adult and 4 student spots.
For this year’s schedule of home games, you can visit the Sky Sox home page.

Did you know that in the 2006-2007 school year, the Doherty band took a trip to California and the Sky Sox stand helped students and parents cover the cost of this trip, significantly reducing the out of pocket cost to each family?

Did you know that the next trip is likely to be in the 2010-2011 school year and working Sky Sox games now can help to defray, or even completely cover (if you work enough shifts), the cost of this future trip?

Did you know that if you have questions there are many ways to find the answers? For example, you can log onto the Doherty Band web page at www.prideofdoherty.com and you can access the many resources available to you there. You can link to email for the director, or you can link to the email address specifically for Sky Sox related questions, concerns and issues. For those who do not have internet access, you can also come to parent meetings the first Thursday of each month. Even if you don’t have unanswered questions, we’d be glad to see you there.
